Jozelle Wong Yu, MA
Jozelle Wong Yu, MA (she/they) is a communications specialist, educator, and social justice advocate with a passion for collaborating with language to inspire peace, freedom, and social change. With a strong background in nonprofit storytelling, digital marketing, and community engagement, Jozelle has led multimedia campaigns that significantly boosted program participation and created impactful educational initiatives. Jozelle holds a BA and MA in Communication Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and has served as Communications Director at Asian American Justice + Innovation Lab (AAJIL), an Adjunct Professor of Communication Studies at multiple Southern California community colleges, and a content creator promoting health equity, somatic healing, consent, and QTBIPOC joy on social media. At their core, Jozelle believes in communication as medicine and the pleasurable alchemy that comes at the intersection of authentic expression, warm witnessing, and community.
